The third Southeast Asia Video Festival for Children had a successful run with nearly 20 awards presented to talented videomakers from across the region.

The awards ceremony was opened by a special Apsara dance performance, followed by two songs by Hosanna Children’s Choir, before an opening address by Festival Founder and President of Anak TV Elvira Yap Go.

Some of the videos that scored the biggest number of wins include Offside from the Philippines (Amateur Category, Heart Awards Amateur, Amateur Kids’ Choice Awards) and A Gold Coin from Vietnam (Professional Kids’ Choice Awards, Professional Fiction 8 to 12 years old)

Held at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, it was announced that Malaysia will be the next host of the event in 2020. The ceremony was marked with the passing of the iconic ‘Symbol of Excellence’ from Cambodia to Malaysia.
