Thailand’s Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) is organising the fifth edition of Style Bangkok, a yearly expo to showcase lifestyle products.
Style Bangkok October 2019 will bring together a vast selection of products, from clothing to furniture and household goods.
Organisers hope the event’s exhibitions will be in line with demands from the general public, architects, interior designers and businesses like hotels and restaurants.
Previous editions of the event proved very useful for manufacturers, entrepreneurs, importers, exporters and designers, both Thai and foreign, the organisers said.
“DITP plays an important role in supporting the Thai economy through promoting exports and services and penetrating the international market,” says Banjongjitt Angsusingh, director-general of the Department of International Trade Promotion.
“It is also tasked with supporting new small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and carrying out the department’s policies in order to maintain the present market, revive the old and expand into new ones.”
The fair also helps Thai entrepreneurs meet increasing demand abroad for raw materials and creative ideas, the organisers said.
“We hope to welcome no fewer than 50,000 visitors from 70 countries and receive purchase orders of some 200 million baht. I’m confident that this fair will help us achieve our goal to attain export growth of at least three percent in line with the government’s plan,” said Mr Banjongjitt.
The trade will feature eco-friendly products and designs. Visitors will be able to see products from the Qurated Fashion Incubation and the Material Solution projects.
Leading brands such as the eco-friendly Labrador as well as the famous skincare brand Puri will be represented at the fair. Korakot Aromdee’s Korakot and Pichita Boonyaratapan’s Pichita will also be joining the line-up of more than 800 renowned brands.
In 2018, Thailand’s exports of lifestyle products accounted for $12.31 billion, about 4.8 percent of total exports.
Style Bangkok October 2019 will be held on Oct 17-21 at the Bangkok International Trade & Convention Centre in Bangna. The first three days are reserved for businesses, while the other two are open to the public.
