Prime Minister Hun Sen has reassured that the government will always be with the people at all times in order to ensure peace for the nation, and to protect national unity, sovereignty and development achievement.
To mark the International Day of Peace, September 21, Prime Minister Hun Sen today issued a statement, calling for attention to the value and importance of peace for people.
He noted that despite the threat of sanctions under the pretext of democracy and human rights, the government will always stay with its people and serve them at its best.
“The government of Cambodia remains loyal to its people at any situation. [We] must unite and protect social achievements, democracy, neutrality, social progress, and peace,” he said.
The premier said the current global political situation is detrimental to peace both worldwide and regional; adding that Cambodia is currently under pressure and the Kingdom’s internal affairs was impeded by powerful countries and western countries.
In his statement, Prime Minister Hun Sen also pledged to continue participating and contributing to protecting peace and security of the world through cooperation in fighting challenges arising around the world.
