Tickets for the Hun Sen Cup semi-finals go on sale next week with fans urged to come out to support their favourite domestic club side.
According to the CNCC, Cambodian football’s governing body, buyers will have the chance to win one of three Honda Beat scooters. The special prize draw is designed to encourage fans to spend their time and money to attend.
The semi-finals of the Hun Sen Cup will get underway on Wednesday, September 18, with Visakha set to meet Boeung Ket, while Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng entertain Phnom Penh Crown a day later.
Primarily a competition for domestic players, the Hun Sen Cup, short for the Samdech Akkak Moha Sena Pedey Decho Hun Sen Cup, debuted in 2007 and has since been played annually. The inaugural competition was won by Khemara Keila, with Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng the most successful side in the tournament’s short history with four cup wins. In last year’s final, Ministry of National Defense defeated Police Commissary 3-0 to win the prestigious competition.
Tickets will go on sale from Monday and will be priced at a regular fare of 3,000 riel and 5,000 riel for VIP tickets.
