Schwarzman Scholars Programme

Schwarzman scholarships, initiated to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st Century, are offered to international students to pursue a Master’s degree programme in China in any field of public policy, economics and business, and international studies. The selected candidates will be equipped intellectually and professionally by pursuing their academic disciplines and strengthening their leadership skills to become future leaders.

YUSHAN FORUM: ASIAN DIALOGUE FOR INNOVATION AND PROGRESS

The Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation (TAEF) is offering young South and Southeast Asian professionals and scholars the opportunity to join the annual Yushan Forum on October 8-10 in Taiwan. The programme’s themes are inclusive healthcare, agriculture and food security, civil-society empowerment, technology and innovation, best practices and good governance, cultural diversity, youth leadership, and transnational cooperation networks.


JENESYS 2019

The Embassy of Japan in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) and the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) will select the 3rd year students from different universities in Cambodia to join JENESYS 2019 hosted in January 2020 in Japan. Applicants are required to apply as a group consisting of four students who meet the requirements.

Data literacy entails skill in mathematics and statistics – many organisations now hire ‘data scientists’ with analytics. Open Development Cambodia organisation is holding a training programme on “Data Literacy” in three different sessions to strengthen trainees’ knowledge on data and article writing by using data. The first session from October 21-25 will be focused on data understanding and how to find data.


Camping

Young Leaders in Natural Resources Protection

To promote youth participation in protecting natural resources, and learn about local communities, Cambodia Youth Network (CYN) is organising a youth camping outing in Areng Community in Koh Kong province on September 20-24. Participants will get a hands-on exposure to learn about leadership and experience the process of protecting natural resources in the local community. They will gain an insight on social and environmental issues, and create a network among youths.

The workshop on “Discover Your Best Self” features a psychologist’s guide to living the best life, which will give opportunities to participants to join a session of deep reflection to explore their own life. They will get tips on how to achieve this goal, where they will receive practical advice and motivation to fix and organise their life. The session will be conducted in English.

Youths who are interested in sustainable development are welcomed to join this workshop to gain more insight on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the key principles and stages of the design thinking process, especially when applying design thinking to develop a project in the community. Design thinking is a user-centric approach to create new products and services to solve problems and create value for the consumer.
