An Asean Bowling Tournament among the Embassies of Asean member states was held on Friday at Phnom Penh’s Blu-O Rhythm and Bowl, Aeon Mall I.
This year, Thailand took on the mantle as host with teams consisting of mixed athletes from the Asean Embassies and the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC).
After the opening ceremony and the Asean Anthem, Mr. Panyarak Poolthup, Ambassador of Thailand to Cambodia invited MFAIC representative, Mr. Luy David to speak ahead of the competition.
“I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to the Royal Thai Embassy for making this wonderful event happen, he said.
“My appreciation also goes to all of you who have sacrificed your Friday evening to take part. This is my second time to participate in this competition. My previous participation happened in 2017 organised by the Embassy of the Philippines. Witnessing a stronger, growing power, unity, and solidarity and togetherness.”
