Orkide Villa Co Ltd, a leading property developer in Cambodia, and its partner, China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), held a topping off ceremony for one of its biggest real estate projects in the Kingdom.

The topping off ceremony for Orkide The Royal Condominium was held on Monday. A topping off ceremony, also known as topping out, is a builder’s rite held when construction of a building’s structure is completed.

According to a press release from Orkide Villa, the highlight of the day was the lifting of the last cement coating bucket to the top floor of the project.

The event was attended by top management of Orkide Villa and CSCEC headed by CEO Khieu Sarsileap and chairman Zhang Zong Shuo. Also in attendance were representatives of Archetype Cambodia and other dignitaries.

In her message, Ms Sarsileap highlighted the creation of jobs and their contribution to Cambodia’s booming real estate sector. “We have employed a lot of people and built thousands of luxury residences,” she pointed out.

She also thanked everyone who contributed to the project, mentioning the management of Orkide Villa, CSCEC, Archetype, and the local authorities.

For his part, Mr Zhang expressed confidence in their ability to complete the project successfully. “We have the confidence and ability to finish the job and deliver satisfactory products to the client,” he stressed.

According to Orkide Villa, the project, which is located in Sen Sok district, comprises six towers totalling 1,999 units. It will also host several entertainment and recreational facilities, including The Royal Mall, The Royal Sky Club, Premium Supermarket and The Royal Garden.

It is one of four projects of Orkide Villa in Cambodia. The other three mentioned in the company website are Orkide The Grand, Orkide The Royal, and Orkide The Botanic City.

Orkide The Royal Condominium had its groundbreaking in 2017. It is expected to be completed by mid-2021.
