Indians in Cambodia Celebrate 73rd Independence Day

More than 200 Indians and friends of India gathered at The Embassy of India in Phnom Penh to witness the unraveling of the Indian national flag to commemorate the country’s 73rd Independence Day on Thursday, 15th August 2019. The rose petals decked Flag, also known as Tri Colors, was unraveled by H.E, Madam Manika Jain, the Ambassador of India to Cambodia, followed by the Indian National Anthem, the reading of the President’s speech, four children entertained the guests with the traditional stick dance, followed by a patriotic song and the launching of an exhibition “HathKam” featuring hand made jewellery from indigenous materials and skills.
