Smart Axiata’s customers using Android smartphones will now be able to enjoy easier package and plan selection following the company’s adoption of mobile data plan functionality in Android settings.

Smart is the first company in the Axiata Group and first mobile telecommunications operator to commercially launch this service in Cambodia.
By using the mobile data plan, customers can manage their mobile plans, receive useful notifications such as when they need to update their data plan, and also see and purchase relevant offers tailored to their mobile usage, all without having to install an app.
“With this new feature, customers will be able to select their plans and seamlessly add on mobile data packages when needed. This native Android front-end interface also clearly communicates information important for a customer such as how much data remains available and the validity of existing Smart plans,” explained Smart Axiata chief marketing officer Stjepan Udovicic.

With the convenience of this feature on Android devices, customers are always able to ensure full transparency about the status of their data balance and enjoy our streaming services like iflix, Soyo and our new music streaming service Pleng by Smart. The mobile data plan service is available for all phones running Android OS 4.4 or newer, and allows such options as easily purchasing more data directly from their Android devices.
This update follows the leading mobile operator’s introduction of Smart Wi-Fi Calling, eSIM, and direct operator billing in 2018.
