Government allocated land to nearly 500,000 families

The National Committee for Social Land Concession announced on Friday that they have allocated land to nearly 500,000 families on roughly 1.3 million hectares across the country.

The report from the committee released on Friday said that as of June 2019, some 479, 114 families have received land totalling  1,340, 765 hectares nationwide and  6, 699 houses were also built for  former armed forces and families of military and police along the border as well as poor people.

The committee which held its meeting on Thursday was attended  by Land Management Minister, Chea Sophara, Senior Minister Kun Kim who is also the vice president of the National Committee for Disaster Management and Minister of Environment, Say Samal as well as  provincial governors.

Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Sophara who is also the chairman of the committee urge relevant authorities to connect clean water drainage, road building, school, health centers and infrastructure within the social land concession given to the families of the army, soldiers along the border.
