Japan to grant $4.6 million in aid

The government of Japan is set to grant about $4.6 million in aid to Cambodia to support economic and social development in the Kingdom.

According to a Foreign Affairs Ministry statement, Minister Prak Sokhonn and Japanese Ambassador Horinouchi Hidehisa will sign the Exchange of Notes and related documents on the aid, which is valued at 500 million Japanese Yen, or about $4.6 million, in a ceremony today at the Ministry.

“As a key development partner, Japan has been assisting Cambodia in infrastructure development contributing to the improvement of economy and social well-being as well as increased connectivity with other countries in the region,” the statement read.
