The plants and animals as national symbols of Cambodia

Each country has different symbols to represent its nationality, so too Cambodia. In 2005, the Kingdom declared seven plants and animals as the national symbols for Cambodia, to acknowledge their stature and value as well as to preserve these natural resources. The seven national symbols of Cambodia are:

Palm tree, Rumdul flower, Lady Finger Banana, Giant barb, Royal turtle, Giant ibis, Kouprey.
