Matchweek 13 of the domestic Metfone C-League sees a tasty top of the table clash between first placed Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng and second-placed title-chasers and defending champs NagaWorld.
NagaWorld will be eager to bounce back after they suffered an uncharacteristic collapse at Visakha. Leading 2-0 at half-time, the Casino-backed side suffered a 3-2 reverse in the matchweek 12 shock as Visakha bounced back to net three goals to claim victory and all three points in the process.
Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng had a decidedly easier encounter in their last match – a Nub Tola brace away to Asia Euro United was enough to secure the victory and set them up with 32 points at the summit and a five-point cushion over their nearest rivals.
Also on Sunday, Kompong Cham look for an unlikely point when they host six-time champions Phnom Penh Crown. The provincial side remain bottom having conceded 114 goals. They lost their previous match against Kirivong Sok Sen Chey 12-0.
Kirivong open Sunday’s action as they prepare to face Boeung Ket for an afternoon matchup. Visakha play National Police Commissary.
In tomorrow’s opener, Soltilo Angkor look to build on their surprise 5-4 win over Boeung Ket. They face an away task against Bati Academy U18s who were themselves handed a 5-1 hiding by National Police Commissary.
Angkor Tiger – who fell to a single goal loss to Phnom Penh Crown last weekend – welcome Electricite du Cambodge, while Ministry of National Defense aim to climb up the table by defeating Asia Euro United.
