Indonesia and Cambodia to mark diplomatic relations through friendly Golf tournament

With the advent of 60 years of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Indonesia and the Kingdom of Cambodia this year, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Phnom Penh will on Sunday morning host a friendly Golf competition at Grand Phnom Penh Golf Club.

The competition will be officially opened by Sudirman Haseng, Ambassador of the Republic Indonesia to the Kingdom of Cambodia and Tea Banh, the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of National Defense of Cambodia as Guest of Honour and who is invited to hit the ceremonial first tee shot.

This competition has received the support and enthusiasm from many parties, including businessmen and will be attended by more than 50 participants, dignitaries, Head of Missions/Diplomatic representatives and high officials/businessmen from both countries.

The winners of the competition will be awarded with prizes including 5 return tickets between Phnom Penh and Jakarta thanks to the recently opened direct flight by Citilink Indonesia.

The goals of the event among others is to enhance people-to-people contacts and strengthen genuine friendship and bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Cambodia, as well as to be one of the platforms for effective communication efforts among stakeholders from both countries.
