The Junior Chamber International Cambodia (JCI-Mekong) and the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC) will be awarding young and talented entrepreneurs from across the country at the Cambodian Young Entrepreneurs Awards (CYEA) 2018 at Sokha Hotel tomorrow.
Weeks before the awards night, the JCI and YEAC already identified 16 finalists out of the 25 young entrepreneurs who showed off their business plans, management strategies, corporate social responsibilities and their achievements in the industry.
The 16 finalists will be presenting more of their entrepreneurial knacks tomorrow, where five of them will be given the Cambodian Young Entrepreneurs Awards.
Speaking at the pre-finals event on June 16, Mr Seng Pyseth, CEO of ANUSSA Event Planner and an honorable awardee of the CYEA 2017, said that all the 25 entrepreneurs who were brave enough to build their own businesses from scratch are already winners in their own right.
“It really depends on how they grab the opportunities presented to them. Here is where all businesses and entrepreneurs gather, and therefore, get to meet potential business partners and clients,” said Mr Pyseth.
He also urged all the entrepreneurs and the audience members to invest in businesses that will create more job opportunities and build stronger economy.
Mr Choeun Vicheth, co-chair of CYEA project, said the organisation is trying to improve the qualities of entrepreneurial endeavours of young Cambodians and the job market through upgrading the guidelines and procedures of identifying the awardees.
He added that the 16 finalists will have the chance to do the presentations about their businesses and will be questioned by judges in tomorrow’s final round.
