Kingdom set for Police Games

The kingdom’s Ministry of Interior will submit 12 sporting disciplines for inclusion in August’s 2019 World Police and Fire Games in Chengdu, China.

The competition will take place between August 8 and August 18 with over 10,000 competitors from 70 countries, all members of International Police Sports Union, set to take part. It will Cambodia’s first appearance.

Lieutenant General Chea Bunheng, Secretary General of Sports Council and President of Sports Unit for National Police will be the Cambodian head delegate during the games

The sports Cambodia propose are; Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Badminton, Table Tennis, Swimming, Triathlon, Athletics, Rugby and Dragon-boat racing.

Lieutenant General Bunheng will lead 96 Cambodian delegates, athletes and coaches to join the tournament.

The games are considered as a good opportunity for the kingdom’s police force to garner valuable experience and sharpen their skills.
