National Assembly delegation led by its Second Vice President Khuon Sudary departed the Kingdom to attend Asean Inter-Parliamentary Assembly Leaders Interface in Bangkok for three days.

The 34th Asean Summit will be held from Saturday to Sunday and AIPA Leaders’ Interface takes place from today until Sunday.

The National Assembly released a statement on Wednesday, saying that Cambodian delegation was invited by Thai National Assembly president Chuan Leekpai, who also chaired the 40th AIPA for 2018-2019.

Ms Sudary will give a keynote speech, focusing on the challenges of AIPA and Asean and share her perspective to solve the challenges, it said.

“On the sideline of the meeting, Her Excellency Khuon Sudary also has courtesy call and business meetings with counterparts of the host and other participating Asean countries,”the statement said.

It added that bilateral meeting will focus on sharing development, mutual respect and equal sovereignty, maintaining peace and political stability in the region and world.
