Hun Sen and Shinzo Abe hold bilateral talks in Tokyo

Prime Minister Hun Sen today held a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to discuss various bilateral, regional and international issues which are of common interests.

Both Prime Ministers also witnessed the signing of the Exchange of Notes on the Extension of Japanese grant aid for two development projects in Cambodia, according to Mr Hun Sen’s Facebook post.

The two projects, including ¥ 200 million ($1.8 million) for the Implementation of the Economic and Social Development Program, Construction of a Container Freight Station; and ¥ 339 million (about $3 million) for the implementation of the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship.

Mr Hun Sen is scheduled to return to Cambodia on Friday afternoon, after spending four days in Japan to attend Nikkei’s International Conference on the Future of Asia.
