Tea Banh in Singapore for Security Summit

Defence Minister Tea Banh left today to Singapore to attend the 18th Asia Security Summit from Friday to Sunday which will discuss  the issue of the security in the region.

Speaking to journalist at the airport before leaving Mr. Banh said that the summit is an annual meeting which provides  space for discussions, most importantly on the issue of security in the regions.

“Before we discussed a lot about the issue of Korean Peninsula, South China Sea and terrorism but most recently the talks have shifted to the issue of trade war, ” he said.

At the meeting most of Defence Ministers attending the meeting will have a chance to hold talks in group or bilaterally and according to Mr. Banh he will hold bilateral meetings with Singaporean and Chinese Defence Ministers.

“I will have bilateral meeting with the  Chinese Defence Minister at the side line of the meeting. The schedule is already set. I will also have bilateral meeting with the host country,” he added.
