Prime Minister Hun Sen today departed Phnom Penh for Japan to attend Future of Asia conference and to meet with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe to discuss bilateral, regional and international issues.
Mr Hun Sen was accompanied by Commerce Minister Pan Sorasak, senior government officials and Cambodia Chamber of Commerce business leaders.
At the Phnom Penh International Airport on Tuesday morning, Mr Hun Sen was seen off by deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong, Interior Minister Sar Kheng, Defence Minister General Tea Banh and other senior government officials.
According to Foreign Affairs Ministry statement, Mr Hun Sen is expected to deliver his keynote address on the Conference under the theme “In Search of the New Global Order – Overcoming the Chaos”.
He also plans to meet with Mr Abe to discuss various bilateral, regional and international issues.
Both prime ministers will witness the signing of $4.93 million in Japanese grant aid for two development projects in the Kingdom.
Mr Hun Sen is due to return to Cambodia on Friday.
