General Manet leads a delegation to Vietnam to boost armies’ ties

Lieutenant General Hun Manet, Army commander of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces has led a Cambodian delegation to Vietnam on Wednesday to strengthen both armies’ relationship.

Lt Gen Manet said on  a Facebook post on Wednesday that he and his delegation were warmly welcomed by Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and First Deputy Vietnamese Defence Minister in Hanoi.

“Lt Gen Van Giang said that Vietnam and Cambodia are neighbouring countries and had the history of fighting for the independence by themselves,” Lt Gen Manet said “Lt Gen Van Giang said that Vietnamese army officers still continue to strengthen good relationship with our RCAF and that they continue to support the RCAF officers in improving their capacity.”

Lt Gen Manet also expressed his deep thanks to the Vietnamese government and its army for helping Cambodia.

“I thanked the Vietnamese government and its army for their continued support of our RCAF,” he said “We hope that this visit will further strengthen both countries’ ties.”
