After a goalless first period in their Metfone C-League clash on Saturday, a furious 45 minute spell saw the ball hit the back of the net on five occasions as Visakha claimed a 3-2 win over Boeung Ket.

After going behind to an Eduardo Purcino effort, Visakha hit back with three goals – a brace from Brazilian hotshot Eliel da Cruz Guardiano and an injury time strike from San Kimheng. Boeung Ket’s Khuon Laboravy struck a second for the visiotrs in the fifth minute of stoppage time but it was not enough as Visakha wrapped up all three points.

In the weekend’s early game on Saturday, NagaWorld continued to put pressure on the league leaders with a 3-0 win away to struggling Electricite du Cambodge. Atuheire Kipson gave the casino-backed side an advantage going into the break as fellow Africans Esoh Omogba and Anderson Zogbe piled on the misery for hapless EDC.

Meanwhile, Ministry of National Defense had to dig deep to record a slender 4-3 win over the Bati Academy U18s. Locked at a goal apiece at half time, a second half blitz from Dzarma Bata and game winner from George Bisan salvaged the match for Army.
