Phnom Penh Crown’s season went from bad to worse as the former Metfone C-League champs were handed a 3-0 thrashing by rivals NagaWorld in the weekends late domestic league game.

Crown were without coach Leonardo Vitorino who was out through unspecified medical condition and the six-time champs never looked like they would get anything from a game which hosts Naga dominated.

Naga’s victory at Old Stadium came via an Amir Gurbani brace and a goal from Esoh Paul Omogba. It lifted the defending champs to second in the standings – a mere point behind leaders Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng. Crown meanwhile, drop to tenth in the league table with their fourth defeat in only six outings.

PKR finally surrendered their first points of the season as they were held to a 1-1 draw in Sunday’s match against Angkor Tiger, while Boeung Ket continued to chase with a 3-1 win over Bati Academy U18s. AEU and Electricite du Cambodge rounded off Sunday fixtures.

In Saturday’s action, Visakha registered the single biggest win of the season with a 14-0 mauling of lowly Kampong Cham.

Ministry of National Defense were surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw by Soltilo Angkor and Kirivong Sok Sen Chey got only their second win of the season – a 3-2 triumph over Prak Sovannara’s National Police Commissary.
