Cambodian Top Team fighter Morn Samet lost a frustrating split decision to Myanmar’s Mite Yine in the featherwight headliner at World Lethwei Championship: Karen Spirit.

The eight-fight card was hosted on Sunday evening in Hpa-An, Kayin State, Myanmar.

Also on the fightcard, Burutlek Petchyindee Academy ended Kyaw Zin Latt in the first round, while Thway Thit Aung scored a unanimous decision against David McCarthy. Saw Min Min took a third-round win against Aung Aung Htoo.

WLC, a homegrown organisation, held its inaugural event in March 2017. In its mission statement, WLC says it seeks to revolutionise the millennia-old Burmese full-contact martial art of Lethwei with new innovations to showcase it to the world.
