The service was announced this morning at the Cambodia Stock Exchange (CSX).

The services provide opportunities for listed companies that seek capital for short term or long term usage to get it at lower interest rates than non-listed companies, officials at the CSX said.

Sou Socheat, director general of the Securities and Exchange Commission, said at the event, “If listed companies want to raise capital they must either raise capital by issuing shares or ask cash settlement agents for loans with special interest rates.”

Jong Weon Han, vice-chairman of the CSX, stated that the incentive shows that the banking and the securities sectors can complement each other, and listed companies will not only earn trust from investors, but also strengthen confidence and cooperation with their partners.
