First club hockey tourney tomorrow

Phnom Penh Field Hockey Team host Cambodia’s first ever club level field hockey tournament at the ISPP sports fields tomorrow.

The tournament will be opened at noon by HRH Prince Buddhapong and will welcome club teams from Thailand in addition to Cambodian hosts.

“One of the main purposes of the tournament is to try and get more Cambodian’s active and interested in the sport, said competition organisers. “One of the teams that is competing, is a group of young Khmer students that have been training for the last few months with the support of the charity PSE (Pour un Sourire d’Enfant).”

Participants include PSE School Cambodia, FBT Cambodia, Bangkok Inter Thailand, and RBSC Thailand.

“Spectators are welcome free of charge with parking and catering available. Free kids training will take place between 2:30pm and 3:30pm on Saturday.
