A 32-year-old restaurant singer today filed a complaint against a high-ranking military officer for allegedly slapping her when she turned down $300 for sex.
The incident happened on Wednesday at about 11pm in Phnom Penh’s Chroy Changva district.
First Lieutenant Srey Vuthy, deputy chief of Chroy Changva commune police, said the complainant was Yin Phally, who worked at the Boeng Meas restaurant.
Ms Phally told police: “He said his name was Pov Sinuon and held a three-star [lieutenant general] rank in the RCAF.”
“He tried to persuade me to sleep with him for one night for $300, but I refused, then he slapped my face,” she said.
