PHNOM PENH, (Khmer Times) — The President of the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP),  Sam Rainsy and  Interior Minister Sar Kheng of the CPP had a telephone conversation to find consensus to resolve the remaining issues impeding the CNRP MPs taking their oath.
The call was  to discuss issues which haven’t been agreed by the two parties’ working groups, and autonomy of National Election’s affairs.
“We have further discussion between the two parties’ top leaders,” he said. “We have already talked, but I cannot reveal it because we are in discussion process. We have to do it stage by stage, he said, adding that when the task of Constitution amendment is done, the CNRP will tell what to do next, : he said
Rainsy refused to answer when asked about the date of swearing-in ceremony for the CNRP’s 55 lawmakers.
The CPP and CNRP agreed Friday afternoon that the members of reformed NEC don’t need immunity, but they have autonomous budget after a four-house meeting between the two parties’ working groups.
