Phnom Penh: Foreign Trade Bank of Cambodia (FTB) celebrated its 40th anniversary on January 28th, 2019, at Sofitel Phokeetra Phnom Penh, presided over by His Excellency Chea Chanto, the Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, and attended by the Bank’s staff, board members, shareholders, related stakeholders, and customers who have been valuable partners supporting FTB’s remarkable growth journey since its inception. While the anniversary marked FTB’s key milestone to celebrate its proud and longest history in the market, it was held as a commemoration to express gratitude to the Bank’s founders, current and retired staff and management team who have since 1979 helped set up and manage to grow over the years. The anniversary was also an important opportunity to express sincere appreciation to all of the Bank’s customers who have always been supporting and had their trust in FTB.

As the first and foremost commercial bank in Cambodia established since 1979, FTB has played crucial roles in helping to promote and develop the local market and economy through relentlessly providing wide ranges of banking products and services to local customers. Based on its solid business foundation, significant achievements and depth of banking experience over 39 years in contributing to the development of national market and economy, and with the current size of its total assets increasing to more than US$1 Billion, FTB is committed to continually helping local customers to achieve further growth and prosperity, and steadily forging ahead with the vision to be the preferred commercial bank in Cambodia.

In line with the National Bank of Cambodia’s Financial Sector Development Blueprint and in order to achieve its vision, FTB will continue expanding current operation and enhancing customers’ experience through service quality, new products and competitive financial solutions. FTB will at the same time continue to proactively make further contribution in promoting the national currency (KHR), to provide consistent support to local businesses for their growth, and to play its crucial role in the development process of the national market and economy as set out by the Royal Government of Cambodia.
