A petrol/filling station in Phnom Penh’s Russei Keo district, owned by 54 year-old Srey Vantha, went ablaze this (Jan.11) morning at around 10:30.

According to National Police the fire is caused by a 6,000 litre fuel that was pumping fuel into the underground tanks without following the recommended safety procedures.

The rapid arrival of 10 fire trucks prevented all too extensive damage before the fire was extinguished, and no harm to persons was reported.
