South Korea-based Cambodian Carom Billiards sensation Srong Pheavy continues to amass titles after snatching another first prize at the Yeongwol Dong-gang Three-cushion billiards competition in Korea.
On Friday evening, Pheavy, 29, cemented her reputation winning the 3-cushion championships for the second consecutive year at the at the Yeongwol Sports Park Indoor Gymnasium in Gangwon-do.
“I won the number one again. If you want to succeed, you need to apply, apply, apply!” she said in a post announcing her victory.
Having moved to South Korea in 2010 to be with her Korean husband, the ‘Billiards Beauty’ as she has been dubbed by local media outlets, has thrilled fans. Pheavy, who lives in Cheongju with her Korean husband, won the women’s tournament at the 2018 ZANCA-Championship Asia 3-Cushion Open.
Since taking up the sport a little over five years ago, she has amassed at least 20 titles to her credit. Her success on the Carom Billiards table has seen her garner sponsorship by Phnom Penh Commercial Bank in Cambodia and Korean billiard custom cue brand Billking Korea.
