The European Union is preparing about 115 million euro grant to offer Cambodia on three projects while the agreement will be signed early next year.
Finance Minister Aun Pornmonirath and EU ambassador George Edgar held the bilateral talk on Monday.
Mr Edgar said that to continue support and strengthen the cooperation, the EU is preparing the 115 million euro grant for Cambodia with three projects–public financial management reform, sustainable fisheries sector, and climate change project.
“Of the total amount, 22 million euro will be injected into the public financial management reform project, 87 million euro in the sustainable fisheries sector, and 6 million climate change in Cambodia,” Mr Edgar said.
Mr Pornmonirath thanked the EU for its continued supporting and strengthening the cooperation with the Cambodian government.
“We agreed in principle for the requested three proposals. We will assist to facilitate and cooperate with other ministries and relevant stakeholders and will reach an agreement and sign it by early 2019,” he said.
