The Sovanna Phum Arts Association continues to stage weekly performances at the Sovanna Phum Theatre at Street 99 in Phnom Penh. With the guidance of shadow puppet master, Mann Kosal, young performers hold large leather-carved puppets and act behind a massive white backdrop, recreating stories of classic Khmer folktales.

Large leather puppets weigh about 4 kilograms each.

Foreign visitors pose for a photo with the puppeteers.
