NEW DELHI (Xinhua) – The death toll in ongoing floods in India’s northeastern state of Assam has risen to 32. According to officials, over 63,000 people still remain affected by the floods across the five inundated districts. The authorities have set up 26 relief camps and distribution centres in the affected districts to reach out to the people. The Meteorological department officials have predicted more rains in the days to come.
