The Supreme Court today, June 29, upheld a previous court decision to imprison political analyst Kim Sok for 18 months.

Mr Sok was sentenced in 2017 to 18 months imprisonment by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for claiming that Prime Minister Hun Sen and the ruling CPP were behind the assassination of fellow analyst Kem Ley.

Early this year, Hun Sen filed a complaint against Mr Sok.  The Prime Minister’s lawyer,  Ky Tech, said that the fresh complaint is about Mr Sok’s accusing the government of sending officials to visit him in prison and urging him to change his political views.
