Zaman University signed last week an agreement with RMIT Training, a company under RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia that provides educational services to international students through the RMIT Foundation Studies. It is stipulated in the agreement that Zaman University will be the official partner of RMIT Training in Cambodia, and that the university will be authorised to offer RMIT Foundation Studies.

With the signing of the MoU, students can now choose to study their foundation year at Zaman University by paying a fee that is only about 30 percent of the normal fee in Australia – a great reduction from the living expenses in the first year, before students continue to spend the next three years in Australia.

Rachel Holthouse, CEO of RMIT Training, said “RMIT and Zaman University can become official partners because both institutions share the same value of providing quality education system to students that equips them with necessary skills and prepares them for the fast-changing needs of today’s and future market.”

RMIT Foundation Studies is a pathway programme that offers guaranteed admission to degree programmes at RMIT University. Typically, students will have to spend one year for Foundation Studies, and three more years for a degree programme to receive their bachelor’s degree.

Mr Deth Sok Udom, Rector of Zaman University, said, “The fact that RMIT, a leading university in Australia, is choosing Zaman University to be its official partner to implement this study programme demonstrates that Zaman is a reputable university whose quality of education is recognised internationally.”

Apart from the RMIT Foundation Studies, Zaman University also offers more than 400 tuition scholarships to students who wish to pursue Bachelor’s Degrees at Zaman University for 2018-2019. For the new school year, students interested to receive a degree from RMIT can choose to enroll at Zaman University’s RMIT Foundation Studies programme.

Students can later continue their studies to receive a degree in business – Accounting, Management, Economics and Finance, Logistics, Information Systems, and International Business among others.

The signing ceremony last week was attended by Mr Luke Arnold, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Australian Embassy, Mr Mao Sreng, Country Director of IDP Education-Cambodia and other distinguished guests.
