A 14-year-old boy was yesterday charged by Pursat Provincial Court over the rape of a seven-year-old girl who was a student at the same school as him in Krakor district.
Kong Bunthoeun, Krakor district deputy police chief, said the accused was charged yesterday with rape under aggravating circumstances.
Mr Bunthoeun said that on Monday morning at about 11am, the accused persuaded the victim to walk with him along a quiet road during their lunch break.
Mr Bunthoeun said that the accused led the victim to a quiet area where no one else was around and brought her into a forest where he raped her.
Mr Bunthoeun noted that the accused again raped the girl while before he brought her home.
Once home, the girl informed her father of what had happened and he notified police, who later arrested the accused.
Mr Bunthoeun said the accused told police he raped the girl because he wanted to mimic what he saw in pornographic videos he watched online.
