Vietnam will this year train more Cambodian National Police officers compared to last year, following an agreement made between government officials.

In a meeting on Sunday, Interior Minister Sar Kheng signed an agreement with Vietnam’s National Police to continue sending Cambodian officers to the country to receive training.

National Police spokesman General Kirth Chantharith told reporters after the meeting that Vietnam agreed to receive 520 police officials in 2018, an increase of 28 compared to last year.

He added that Vietnam would also provide health treatment for 60 Cambodian officials in 2018, the same figure as last year, and would continue providing construction materials for National Police schools being built in the country.
