Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) received $36,682 from Herbalife Family Foundation.  This money will help supply nutrition for needy children for one year.

Speaking at the handover ceremony on Friday, June 8, PSE’s founder, Marie-France des Pallières, reasserted that the mission of PSE is to take children out of extreme poverty and help them achieve a life of respect and dignity.

PSE provides help to more than 6000 children, supporting nearly 3000 children in public schools, 1000 in the remedial education program and 1500 in vocational training.

The NGO’s senior project coordinator, Alessandro Cassinerio, said that the donation will be used to support its kindergarten programme.  “We are going to use these funds for nutrition in order to guarantee at least two meals per day plus two snacks per day for each child.  We are going to be able to help over 300 children for one year.”

He added that the organization is seeking further donations and resources so that it can increase the number of beneficiaries.

Herbalife Family Foundation has been involved with PSE since 2014. The amount of funding has risen every year, and in 2017 granted about $30,000 to help PSE care for children’s needs.
