The first Siem Reap Tax Forum kicks off this Friday in Siem Reap province with at sharing professional insights and practical advice about the Cambodian tax landscape with the view of fostering greater and easier compliance.
With around 100 participants expected, the one-day forum is organized by the EuroCham and be held in the presence of Kong Vibol, director-general of Taxation at Ministry of Economy and Finance.
The forum provides the General Department of Taxation and the private sector, in particular, the small and medium taxpayers in the tourism industry as well as non-profit organizations, a platform to share up-to-date information and insights about recent tax development and tax regulations in place that impact both local and foreign-owned businesses in Cambodia.
Tax experts will discuss over the topics of recent tax developments, simplified accounting for small taxpayers, issues for small taxpayers, tourism and hospitality industry tax regimes, and tax for non-profits, according to the EuroCham’s statement.
Presentation and panel discussions from GDT officials and some of the private sector are on the agenda of practical and meaningful discussion.
