According to a press release from the Cambodian Central Bank, the country must consider ways to “broaden” its sources of national revenue, which it describes as “narrowly based.” The Kingdom can do so by “fulfilling its potential in key sectors and industries.”
Alongside the announcement, the bank made a call for research papers on five key areas: reinvigorating agriculture, diversifying exports, integrating into regional production networks and supply chains, fulfilling the country’s potential in tourism, and preparing the workforce for the jobs of the future.
Selected papers will be published on NBC’s website and quarterly bulletin, and researchers will be invited to present their findings at the conference in December.
