Arrival of Rolls-Royce Signals Economic Gain

PHNOM PENH, (Khmer Times) – The official entry of Rolls-Royce into the Cambodian market is a signal of growth in the Cambodian economy for investors and consumers. 
Attending the official dealer signing ceremony, Minister of Industry and Handicrafts Mr. Cham Prasidh said, “Cambodia is emerging as a middle income country if compared to the economic region.”
Mr. Prasidh added, “It is a signal of the success of the commercial sector. The first sight of Rolls-Royce will make an impression on consumers; the car is not just a car, but jewelry.” 
HGB Group Co. Ltd has signed a five year agreement to become the official dealer of Rolls-Royce in Cambodia.
Mr. Paul Harris, regional director of Asia Pacific Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd, said “We saw the positive signal in the market of Cambodia based on the rapid growth of the economy.”
The Rolls-Royce showroom in Phnom Penh will be located in Sangkat Vel Vong and will showcase two models, the Rolls-Royce Wraith and Rolls-Royce Ghost. In addition, Roll-Royce will provide complete on-site care and maintenance in their full-service garage. 
Rolls-Royce first appeared in Cambodia in 2005 via direct-order from official Rolls-Royce dealers outside Cambodia. Almost a dozen Rolls-Royce vehicles are can be seen driving on Cambodian roads nowadays, and the local demand is growing. 
“For those who own a Rolls-Royce, even if they didn’t get it from HGB Group, they will be able to get service at the Rolls-Royce repair center too,” Mr. Harris said.
Last year, Rolls-Royce sold 3630 cars around the world, their highest sales figure over the past four years.
