Distribution Giant Interested in Logistics in Cambodia

PHNOM PENH, (Khmer Times) — Pan-ASEAN and Chinese distribution multinational Kerry Logistics is looking to expand its logistical operations in Cambodia.
 
Mr. George Yong-Boon Yeo, executive director of Kerry Logistics, said, “Investing in the transport sector in Cambodia, my company will establish a warehouse in the special economic zone for distribution nationally and throughout the region.”
 
Mr. Yeo added that Cambodia has economic stability and potential and improvements to infrastructure have increased the possibilities of the transport sector.
 
After meeting with company representatives to discuss the potential of the Cambodian market, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that while Cambodia had previously received aid from other countries, Cambodia is now moving forward in expanding the trade sector.
 
“Logistics is a problem which has been discussed in the economic reforms of the Royal Government of Cambodia. It serves the Cambodian and regional economies,” he added.
