MONDULKIRI, (Khmer Times) —  Cambodian, Vietnamese Province Enjoy Growing Ties Since Signing Pact In 2010
Central Highlands province of Dak Nong and Cambodia’s Mondulkiri province have enjoyed growing ties since signing a comprehensive partnership agreement in 2010, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reports.
Dak Nong’s External Relations Department spokesperson Le Duc Cuong said the agreement aimed at boosting socio-economic development between the two provinces in 2010-2015 has witnessed a number of fruitful outcomes.
Thanks to close coordination between local governments of both sides, the localities have completed border demarcation work as scheduled with eight landmarks planted.
Trade exchange activities between the two provinces have been on the rise, including for consumer goods, construction materials, fertiliser and agricultural products.
At the same time, both provinces have developed strong partnership in security and defence particularly in curbing violations of border regulations and fighting drug trafficking and cross-border crimes.
