After a hard day’s work, we all deserve an evening that allows us to break free from the monotonous routine. Sometimes, we owe ourselves an evening to witness a dazzling show that would leave us happy and awestruck. And this was exactly what NagaWorld offered everyone on Saturday during the kick-off of the new gold-themed production of the NABA Entertainment Spectacular.

Starting with a red carpet extravaganza featuring local celebrities, models and beauty titlists, spectators were treated with a free and closer peek at the stars of Cambodia’s entertainment industry – something they would not normally experience outside the multi-award winning integrated resort.

The May show inside the country’s first 3D video mapping performance hall, NABA Theatre, put full spotlight on local artists and international performers that NagaWorld pulled from other continents to bring a world-class show at a world-class venue.

The Icarian Gamers, Ethiopian brothers Kirubel and Natnael, who stunned in March during their audition at Spain’s Got Talent, kept the audience at the NABA Theatre on the edge of their seats as they performed dizzying feats of acrobatics known as Icarian Games. The duo showcased their skills in foot juggling, flips, and somersaults for five minutes. With talents and passions that radiated from them, the audience unanimously agreed that they deserved the Golden Buzzer they got from the judge on Spain’s Got Talent.

The Wonder-Changers, a Ukrainian double act that featured mystifyingly quick switches of costumes, also made their welcome bow on Saturday’s opening show. Even before spectators could recover from astonishment on the split-second costume switch, the Ukrainian performers were already onto new, elaborate outfits. The pair are also set to bolster the team of incredible entertainers for free daily performances at various stages in NagaWorld.

But aside from the international acts, the country’s own pride, singer Sokun Therayu, also made a special appearance in Saturday’s show. Performing his hit song, Mok Phnom Penh Rok Songsa, Sokun Therayu rocked the stage with a vocal power that suited the boy-next-door charisma and dance moves that had everyone stamping their feet.

Some of the performers who gave the real meaning of “spectacular” to the NABA Entertainment Spectacular shows in April also came back on the center stage with new choreography, new costumes, new fun and definitely new and better production that was worth the long applauses they got after their concert-like performances.

And unlike the “One Night Only” song and dance act in the show, NagaWorld’s free live entertainment at the NABA Theatre will last throughout the month of May – from 7:30pm Wednesdays to Sundays. All are welcome to spend an hour inside the state-of-the-art theatre that can accommodate up to 2,000 people.

NagaWorld offers this and many more special promotions and giveaways on their food outlets, hotel rooms, luxury spas and city tours as part of its celebration of yet another milestone: NagaWorld’s 23rd anniversary.
