TrueMoney Cambodia can now be downloaded for iOS and Android customers, allowing users to utilize their phones to transfer money, top up phone credits, pay bill and pay for shopping.
Kong Mean, managing director of TrueMoney Cambodia said that the application is now accessible for most smart phone users. Customers can expect to use the payment system in various retail and food outlets in Cambodia.
“Now, all customers who have the TrueMoney app are able to use the app in shops such as Hard Rock Cafe, Gloria Jean’s Coffees, Botaya Village, SaSa Boutique and more,” Mr Mean said. “TrueMoney has also cooperated with Major Platinum Cineplex (Cambodia) in all location, and soon customers will be able to use the app to book seats and buy cinema tickets via the app,” he said.
He said customers can use the TrueMoney app to deposit money to their account at all 5,500 TrueMoney agents across the country.
TrueMoney says that to mark the launch of the app and to celebrate the second anniversary of the company’s operations in Cambodia, it will offer 50 percent off all phone top-ups through the app until tomorrow.
In addition, this month customers will pay a service charge of only 1,500 riel per transaction for all transfer of less than $25 through TrueMoney agents.
TrueMoney has its head office in Thailand, and offices in Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
“With two years of operation in Cambodia, TrueMoney has made tremendous changes in lowering service charges for money transfer, which has contributed to reducing costs for people,” Mr Mean said.
