ANZ Royal home loan center

May Kunmakara / Khmer Times Share:

More Cambodians took out home loans last year than the year before, prompting banks like ANZ Royal to provide specialized services for the growing sector.
ANZ Royal yesterday launched its Home Loan Center at its Kramuon Sar branch, dedicated specifically to ease such transactions for its clients.
ANZ Royal CEO Leonie Lethbridge said that Cambodia, especially Phnom Penh, saw the largest growth in loans for residential and commercial land purchases in all of Asean, with a 16 percent growth in home loan applications last year.
“More often than not the single biggest investment people make in their lifetime is buying a house. Securing a home loan can be stressful and complex, so we have created a relaxed environment where customers can access a team of experts to help guide them through the application process,” Ms. Lethbridge said.
According to the ANZ Royal press release, the Home Loan Center will offer customers a discounted interest rate of 6.99 percent for the first year of their loan, intended to make it simpler and more convenient for those unfamiliar with home loan banking systems.
Acleda Bank also previously reported an 18.8 percent growth in its housing loans last year amounting to $211.3 million, compared to $177.8 million in 2015.
