Prime Minister Hun Sen met outgoing French Ambassador Jean-Claude Poimboeuf yesterday and talked about border issues with Vietnam, which both sides said they wanted to resolve.
The meeting at the Peace Palace was one of two the prime minister had with departing envoys. The other was with Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava.
Minister Attached to the Prime Minister Sry Thamrong said that among topics raised with Mr Poimboef , Mr Hun Sen said he appreciated France sending a detailed Cambodia-Vietnam border map for verification in Cambodia.
He added that the French government was preparing to send experts to resolve the remaining border issues with Vietnam.
During his meeting, Mr Srivastava affirmed the quality of India’s voting ink which is to be used in commune elections. Tests of the ink last week led to claims it could be washed off  using strong chemicals.
