The international tourism fair Cambodia Travel Mart 2017 will be held for the first time in Siem Reap city with the aim of stimulating business arrivals to the country.

The exhibition was initiated by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with Slickbooth, an international exhibition firm with international experience, and is due to run from November 17 to 19.

Om Pharin, director of SlickBooth, said at the Sokha Hotel in Siem Reap that the exhibition would be co-organised by TTG Asia Media & Events from Singapore that specialises in prestigious international tourism fairs.

“CTM 2017 is an event for business travellers, companies, and national and international business service providers,” added Mr Pharin.

“It will bring together about 500 companies, tourism professionals and travel writers to promote tourism development in Cambodia.”

So Mara, a secretary of state of the Tourism Ministry, said: “Cambodia’s peace and stability allows the tourism sector to develop strongly from year to year under the government.”
