Fifteen high school students were charged yesterday with a gang attack on ten students from another school in Kampot province.

Three of the ten were hurt in the incident at the gates of Touk Meas High School on Friday.

The 15 suspects, all in grade 11 at Ang Sorphy High School in Kampong Trach district, were aged between 16 and 18.

Provincial police officer Seng Chantha said the two groups got into a verbal argument and arranged to fight outside the school.

The 15 suspects arrived on six motorbikes, armed with swords, knives and sticks.

“They were arrested by police while they were attacking the victims,” he said.

Police confiscated four swords, a knife and the motorbikes.

Kampot provincial court prosecutor charged the 15 with “intentional acts of violence” which carries a detention period of up to three years.
